The Vascular Group of Naples is committed to the diagnosis, management and treatment
of vascular disease. Led by board-certified vascular surgeons Hiranya A. Rajasinghe,
M.D.; Santiago H. Chahwan, M.D.; and Alvaro J. Zamora, M.D., The Vascular Group of Naples
offers extensively trained physicians in conventional open vascular surgery and minimally
invasive endovascular therapy. Their Training, recognized by the American Board of Surgery,
includes additional years in research and fellowship beyond surgical residencies, with a
dedicated interest in peripheral vascular disease. All patients are provided direct
one-on-one physician consultations and interaction. The vascular diagnostics laboratory
possesses three full-time registered vascular technologists performing more than 4,000
ultrasound exams annually.
Elective and emergent inpatient vascular specialty care is provided at NCH.
An available outpatient Vascular Access Center offers many services traditionally offered
only in the hospital setting including angiograms, peripheral angioplasty and stenting,
dialysis access management, sclerotherapy and minimally invasive treatment of varicose
veins. Wound care needs are coordinated with dedicated local outpatient facilities. Drs.
Rajasinghe, Chahwan and Zamora consider it a privilege to offer compassionate and
technologically advanced vascular and endovascular therapy strategies for the diagnosis
and treatment of the entire spectrum of vascular disease with an emphasis on improving
